Things come in threes

15 year old female

things come in threesWhen I was a kid and I went to playgroup I made friends with this really sweet kid. Her and I continued to stay friends all my life till two years ago. The first time it happened was in grade five when we made a new friend. She was very spoilt and started collecting these little neopet toys and my old friend led me into the classroom one lunchtime and we stole them. I was really guilt ridden and nervous about it and the teacher checked our bags and we still got away with it. Eventually my old friend told the girl it was her but now every time there is an argument she brings it up.

The second time was in year 8. There was always a heap of writing on the toilet walls. Never anything nice and a lot of phone numbers, but this one time there was something mean scribbled over the back of the door about me. I didn't have any enemies except for my old friend, but i didn't think it was her. I didn't use that toilet block anymore and told the deputy principal about it and the next day it was gone.

Then in year nine the same thing happened again. I confronted someone about the fact that they had been lying and avoiding me and they cried, ran off and told my group of friends. Her and i made up but she still wouldn't talk to me in front of them and they would whisper things and throw things at me. After a while i called her mum and told her what her daughter was doing. Her mother cried as I told her and that night I got a silly text message from the girl. I wasn't her friend after that.

It's like that saying - things come in threes. It took three times for me to realise that this wasn't working out and I needed change. My long time friend is with a different crowd now and she's changed. I have new friends and joined the band, we all hang out at the music block and life looks good.
