Eating me away inside

I had been through abuse three times in my life, and I had never told anyone. It was eating me away inside and manifesting itself as depression, self harm and anorexia. I knew I needed to tell someone and that I couldn't keep these things to myself any longer but I didn't know where to start.
I first contacted Kids Helpline through email, then web and then the phone. It was really good (and also scary) to have someone who I could talk to about these things that I had hidden for so long. It was a good starting place for me to begin talking about these things and build up the courage to tell the school psychologist about what had happened. Kids Helpline provided me with encouragement, support and someone to trust.
