My friend used to be sad all the time and she wouldn't tell anybody why. Then when me and her became friends she told me why. It was because her mum was an alcoholic and she had nearly died. I didn't know what to say, I just listened. I wanted to give her advice but I couldn't. I told her to ring the Kids Helpline. They helped her a lot. Now she is always smiling and having fun, and her mum is getting better too.
