My mum invited someone to come and stay with us for a week because he was having some issues. He said he was going to move to Melbourne and had sold all his things and didn't have a house anymore back up in NSW. But then I found out the reason he had left there was because he had raped two people, both around my age.
My mum wouldn't listen and wouldn't ask him to leave. I logged onto Kids Helpline web counselling, and in between talking to them, I told him to get out or I'd call the police, and eventually he got the message.
They gave me so much support and the confidence to tell him to leave, and we also talked about the whole thing afterwards. They were fantastic.
