Threatened at school

My school had just ended and there were so many high school students filing out the gates, and I was one of them. I stopped to catch up with my friends who began to walk out the gate and soon joined them.
A few minutes later, I was diverted from my friends by this girl in my grade. She took me away from my friends who stopped to wait for me, and asked me whether I had been talking about her behind her back. I denied the fact that I was because I couldn't recall a time where I did talk about her. She told me people have been saying that I have and I once again denied it. She responded by threatening me and said that I was also talking about another girl by a name I didn't know. I told her I didn't know who she was so how could I have talked about her? She then went on to say something but then the noise around me was too loud and I couldn't hear what she was saying. She then slapped me on my face and walked away.
I turned away, to be stopped by my friends who ran up to me but I just pushed past them. I then walked to a newsagency where I rang up Kids Helpline and talked to a counsellor there. She told me what the girl had done to me was assault and she just stayed with me until I felt better. She made sure that I got home safely and I will never forget the thirty minute conversation I had with her that stopped me from doing something stupid.
