I first contacted Kids Helpline when I was being bullied at school. I thought nothing could help me. The kids were really mean to me. They used to call me names, push me around, throw balls in my face and hurt me emotionally with their mean name calling. I tried to talk to my mum about it but she just wouldn't listen to me. My best friend suggested Kids Helpline. I called them the very next day and my counsellor helped me to figure out strategies to get my mum to listen to me. Soon enough my mother had spoken to the principal and the kids weren't bulling me anymore.
I still speak to my counsellor about other issues. It goes to show that a little thing can go a long way. Thanks to Kids Helpline - I got the help and support I needed and I didn't have to move schools. I'm a lot happier now and I don't worry about getting beaten up the next day. Thanks Kids Helpline.
