Mobile Phones
Not all calls made from mobile phones to Kids Helpline are free.
If you want to call Kids Helpline from a mobile phone, it's a good idea to check with your mobile phone provider first.
You can usually tell which provider you are with by looking at your phone screen, otherwise you might need to ask for help to find out this info.
As a rough guide:
- Calls from the Optus network, including Virgin, are free and will not be listed on your phone bill.
- Calls from other network providers may cost money and be listed on your phone bill. It's a good idea to check with them before you call.
If you are worried about calling from your mobile phone, or don't know what network you are with, remember you can always call from your home phone or a payphone for free.
