Death can be a tough thing for kids (and adults) to think and/or talk about. It is something that a lot of people find hard to discuss. But really, the cycle of life and death is all around us and it's something that is a normal, natural part of life. For example, on any day you might see:
- dead insects on the window sill
- a dead mouse that the cat has brought in
- animals lying on the road that have been hit by a car
- death on TV, even if it's just pretend or in cartoons - though in cartoons the dead person often comes back to life, which isn't how it really happens
You may also read about death in stories and fairytales, or play it in your games, like 'Bang bang, you're dead!'.
