Children who live in ‘out-of-home’ care or foster care
Kids live in all sorts of families - big ones, small ones, happy ones and not so happy ones.
Some families:
- have a mum and a dad
- have two mums or two dads
- spend half their time with mum and half their time with dad
- live with a single parent
- live with their grandparents or another family member
- live out of home with a foster carer
